Right Plastic Egg Carton Fit for Better Protection
A suitable plastic egg carton should match the actual egg size, not only the required pack count. Eggs may vary in height, diameter and shell shape, even when they are sold under the same weight grade.
The cavities should hold each egg separately while leaving enough space around the shell. If the cavities are too small or the lid clearance is insufficient, the eggs may be pressed when the carton closes. If they are too large, the eggs may move and knock against the internal supports during handling.

Stock Molds, Custom Options and Sample Testing
A plastic egg carton project does not always require a new mold. StlPak offers existing packaging formats for 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 and 30 chicken eggs, together with 20, 24 and 30-count quail egg cartons.
Existing models can be compared by egg fit, cavity layout, closure structure, carton loading and available label area. For retail programs, labels can be used for branding, barcodes, egg grades, packing dates and other product information.
When existing molds cannot meet the required egg dimensions, pack count, lid height or label area, StlPak can evaluate custom plastic egg packaging. Before bulk production, samples can be tested with actual eggs to check cavity fit, lid closure, stacking stability, label placement and carton loading.
